Diamonds might be a girls best friend, but Mattie prefers a different kind of diamond. She’s at home on the ball field and this small-town-girl-at-heart is just as down to earth as they come. I loved that Mattie wanted to capture her athletic images on her home field. It makes the look and feel of these images so very special.

Our time together was spent killing one million, two hundred thousand and twenty-two bugs, dodging rain that dropped from completely clear skies, and trying to keep our feet on the ground during typical Nebraska winds. It felt like a four season shoot in one evening. But you guys… she still looked this good when dealing with all that! Special thanks to her sweet friend McKinley for driving some much needed Lucky Charms out to Malcolm to fuel the last portion of our session. That’s a true friend right there.
