MADDIE

Up next is Maddie! This girl was an absolute joy to capture. Her go-with-the-flow personality landed us at quite a few places around town and I just love the variety we snapped along the way. She rocked each and every idea and was SO willing to do and try everything!

‘Maddie, what do you think about this balloon left over from my afternoon session?’
‘Maddie, can do you a quick change out of those skinny jeans in your car… oh yeah, it’s like 100 degrees in the car right now…will that work?’
‘Maddie, feel like getting those clogging shots in the water?’
‘Maddie, see that dead tree over there? Wanna climb?’

Yep, we did it all! Maddie is a National Champion Clogger and although I’ve been blessed to work with a number of dancers, I had yet to photograph a clogger. I was so incredibly excited to tackle this new set of taps and her ability didn’t disappoint. It was the most fun!

Additionally, Maddie’s wardrobe choices were completely spot on! The color palette flowed and the style was a perfect mix of classy and casual. Maddie’s mom, Julie, is a type-A organizer after my own heart. She was the perfect and most helpful assistant to me AND personal assistant to Maddie throughout the session, even sorting all her accessories into individual bags to go with each outfit! Sometimes, I’m really spoiled with amazing parents that accompany us during our sessions, and this was one of those times.
