2026 SENIOR
JOSIE
When Josie was little, believe it or not
She was sometimes quite naughty, a mischievous tot.
She pushed every boundary to her parents’ chagrin,
And stomped all around with her cute, dimpled chin.
Watching and learning, absorbing it all,
Her questions if stacked would reach three stories tall.
There was always “why’s that?” and “what now?” and “what’s next?”
As parents we felt like a science book text.
Her evenings were filled with games before bed,
We watched her, the numbers dancing ‘round her head.
But Josie was more than just reading and smarts,
She also showed love of the musical arts.
From choir, to cello, to clarinet in band,
To conducting it all from the drum major stand.
What makes us as parents as proud as can be
Is the kind loving person all know her can see.
She leads not with noise, nor ego, nor claim,
Showing empathy first—every time, every game.
As parents we’re proud of each step that you’ve made,
We’re amazed at the growth and the courage you’ve displayed.
And somewhere beyond, in a place calm and bright,
Your grandparents look down with a warm, loving light.
Watching intently, their joy shining through,
So proud of the person the world gets in…you.
Josie describes herself as…
Passionate, Confident & Driven
Do you see it too?
