2018 SENIOR
SAM
One of the great joys I find in this profession is when I get to create for dear friends. I always love to hear my clients’ reactions to their portraits, but when I am able to see and experience that reaction first hand, its just super special. Sam’s mom, Kristine, is one of my oldest and dearest friends. Years ago, as young parents, we would pass our days of primary caregiver in each others’ homes. Making sure the kids were fed and cared for, but mostly enjoying great conversation, gossip magazines, recipe experimenting, pool days, occasional hair dying, and even impromptu house painting. My favorite days were the snow days. When this friend of mine always encouraged me to get out and go do something anyway. After all, it was never ‘that bad’ outside to this girl from Minnesota. I’m so thankful for this friendship and that I’ve been fortunate to watch her three amazing kids grow into the humans they are today.
Sam is the middle child in his family. Often quiet, incredibly intelligent, and extremely kind. A tough guy, willing to rock his GQ wardrobe in 95 degree heat, and look stellar doing it too. Minnesota will look great on you, Sam. Best of Luck next year!
