2018 SENIOR

NATE

Senior Week continues with Nate! He is one of those ‘completely comfortable in front of the lens’ types and made the job of capturing his seniors just an absolute ton of fun. Really, it is just difficult to not have a good time when you’re around Nate. The world could use a lot more of him. And really, anyone who can pull off a boxing bear sweater is just downright cool.

Speaking of sweaters, wardrobe is hands down the most frequently asked question I receive from seniors and parents when planning for their session. Not surprisingly, it also seems to be where seniors and parents disagree the most. Here are a few general tips to help you simplify the process (and hopefully avoid any potential eye-rolls as well:)

1. Make your session wardrobe an extension of your natural style. It’s important that you are comfortable in what you are wearing. Yes, Mom and Dad might want you to dress things up a bit, however Mom and Dad, let the Senior play an active part in making the choices they will ultimately be wearing.

2. Choose pieces that accentuate the features you LOVE about yourself, and also those that allow for movement.

3. Create your color palette and stick to it. Red and Teal? Not on the same team. It’s often helpful to lay your wardrobe out and see if everything coordinates well.

4. Layered looks are great and pieces that work with multiple outfits provide additional styling options.

5. Keep it simple, or play it up. Accessories give us the flexibility to make changes on the fly without completely changing outfits.

Do you know someone from the upcoming Class of 2019 that would LOVE a free Senior Session. Yes… Free! Pop on over to Instagram and be sure to get registered for this giveaway! The winner will be drawn Sunday evening, April 15th!
