JOEL
Mr. Brown Eyes, Gearhead, “Brother Joel” as he is loving called by his sister, Annie. This guy is a hoot. The Heinzmann’s are one of my favorite families. Three kids graduating in three consecutive years, I can’t even imagine the busy that existed in this house when Kyle, Joel & Annie were 4, 3 & 2. I’m sure a sense of humor was the key and most likely a saving grace at times. This sense of humor is clearly evident in Mom, Christy, who let Joel wear one of his favorite shirt/hat combinations from a recent family vacation. If only “just for a few” images I was told.
Joel isn’t just a Gearhead. Sure he loves cars, visits foreign manufacturers whenever he can while in Europe, polishes his car regularly (even in the middle of a series of shots when he asks me to stop because he noticed “a spot.” He ALSO possess this strange talent where he can accurately name the make/model/and occasionally the year of a car, just by the sound of the engine. Like, he was crazy accurate. There has to be a career niche for this kind of ability, right?
