2018 SENIOR
CORY
Let’s face it. These last weeks prior to graduation are an absolute mess of events crammed into a very short time. Concerts, Banquets, Recitals, Sporting Events, Lasts of All the Things, not to mention… School, Finals, Receptions. It’s a never ending list. I was chatting with one of my seniors late this week who still had an 8 page paper to turn in, with one day left of actual classes. ONE day! Ok, teachers… maybe that is a bit much? Senioritis is in full overdrive. I remember it well, although I also remember having symptoms of this as early as my sophomore year so there might have been no help for me anyway.
It feels surreal to look back on this year’s class and realize that almost an entire year has passed since I first met and worked with these seniors. I had a class of over 50 kind, motivated and downright exceptional humans. I was genuinely excited to pop out and get to work with each and every one of them.
Yet, here we are in the second week of May and I’m realizing that I have SO many more blog posts to squeeze in before the tassels rotate to the other side of the mortar boards. I imagine its how my senior parents feel with all the tasks that need to be checked off those to-do lists. It’s time for a little blog focus the next few weeks so I can introduce to the rest of these future graduates!
Up first is Cory. He’s a catcher and his hair is amazing.
